2009 Fall Festival
The fourth annual St. David's Center Fall Festival lived up to its name: Art Gone Eco-Wild, by not only getting a bit carried away, but by going green as well!
Chilly, wet weather could not keep the more than 650 attendees from taking part in the art and nature adventure. With activities both indoors and out, families participated in: numerous arts and crafts projects; observed various scaly, slimy, furry and feathery creatures; enjoyed delicious pastries, sandwiches and warm beverages; and fought the elements to climb rock walls, play putt-putt away pollution mini golf and race minnows.
New this year, children and adults huddled together on Harvest Hayrides as horses from Cedar River Horse Logging carried them through our School Forest. Visitors also went green thanks to Radio Disney's Team Green and recycled paper making projects with Minnetonka Center for the Arts.
"Our family had a lot of fun at the Fall Festival," shared alumni parent Janet Loomis. "The projects were really neat and our son had a good time. When we got home, he took everything out of his bag to show his dad and gave him most of the projects."
This event would not be possible without our generous sponsors, and we thank: Frank Bennett; Mike and Stacey Crosby; Lars and Molly Erdahl; Express Press; Chris and Sheila Jones; Kate Jenson; Master Craft Labels, Inc.; Chris and Sharon McGrann; Kurt and Laura Nisi; Partners in Pediatrics; Premier Banks; Mark and Trudie Sprenkle; Larry and Lynn Stranghoener; Tom and Sarah Suk; Tim and Cindy Zabilla.
And it certainly would not be the success that it was without our partnering organizations. Thank you: Bags to Nature; Bookcase of Wayzata; Boy Scouts; Breadsmith; Cedar River Horse Logging; Dairy Queen; Dunn Bros Coffee; General Mills; Great Harvest Bread Co.; General Mills; Kidcreate StudioTM; Mad Science of Minnesota; Minnehaha Creek Watershed District; Minnesota Landscape Arboretum; Minnetonka Center for the Arts; Minnesota Zoo; Radio Disney; Three Rivers Park District; Tonkadale Greenhouse; Turtle Fun; Weber's Westdale; Wildlife Science Center; Your Art's Desire.
