introduce the importance of creating an emotionally responsive classroom.
Her lecture will

AFTERNOON SESSION: For
supervisors and program leaders in early education, social work and therapy.
A facilitated discussion and presentation will focus on supervisory and
operational strategies which support the integration of emotionally
responsive practice in the classroom.

ABOUT THE PRESENTER:
Lesley Koplow, MS, ACSW,
is the Director of the Center for Emotionally Responsive Practice at Bank
Street College in New York and the acclaimed author of several books on
children’s mental health including, Unsmiling Faces: How Preschools Can
Heal, and Creating Schools that Heal: Real Life Solutions. Through her
leadership of the Center for Emotionally Responsive Practice, Koplow
collaborates with public and agency-based schools to support the emotional
well-being of children.
