Tuition Policies for 2007-2008
1.
Monthly Tuition - All tuition is billed on a monthly basis. Families
pay the same monthly tuition regardless of the number of weeks in the month or
the number of holidays (or other scheduled closings) during the month. The days
the program is closed are calculated into the annual and monthly tuition rates.
The program will provide parents with a yearly calendar that specifies days that
the Early Childhood Program is closed.
2.
9-Month Rates - Refers to the nine-month program year from September
through May. The Summer program rates will be provided with summer registration
materials.
3.
Registration fee - Your registration fee must accompany your
child's application and is non-refundable unless the program cannot
provide you with an opening. (See Tuition Rates.)
4.
Advance Deposit - There is a $200.00 deposit per child,
which is non-refundable if you withdraw at any time after May 1, 2007. This
deposit will be applied to your May tuition.
5.
Withdrawal Policy - We require 30 days notice for withdrawal.
Families will be charged for 30 days of tuition beyond the date of notice,
except in the case of an emergency and with the approval of the Admissions
Coordinator and the Early Childhood Program Director. This 30 day notice
includes the month of August, in that you may be charged for September tuition,
even though your child never actually attended.
6.
Payment - Your tuition payment is due 15 days from the date on
your statement. Payment may be made by check, credit card, on-line, or ACH. If
the payment is made by check, please mail or leave it in the locked tuition box
by the front reception desk. PLEASE NOTE YOUR ACCOUNT NUMBER IN THE "MEMO" LINE
OF THE CHECK. This number appears on your monthly statement. If you wish to
pay by credit card (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, or Discover only) or
ACH, please contact the Finance Department. If you wish to pay on-line, please

7.
Late Fees - Late fees will be assessed at a 1% rate per month on any
tuition not paid in full by the 28th of the month in which it is due.
8.
Admissions Change Fee - $25.00 will be assessed for each change in
admissions scheduling after a confirmation has been sent.
9.
Early Payment Options - Persons wishing to prepay tuition for the
full program year (9 months) will be offered a 4% discount on their total
tuition. Payment must be received in the Finance Department prior to October
1st to qualify for the discount. Please inquire at the Finance Department.
10.
Drop-In Extended Day - Drop-In Extended Day is available up to
twice a month when space permits on the days your child is contracted as a
convenience for families who need it on an occasional basis. This rate cannot
be substituted for regularly contracted extended day. Drop-In fees are charged
by the hour and are billed monthly on your tuition statement. You must sign up
2 days in advance to receive this service.
11.
Non-Contracted Charges – There is a fee (of $10.00 per 15 minutes)
for children left before or beyond their contracted time. We cannot legally
operate after 6:00 p.m. under our license, and therefore parents will be billed
$20.00 for any child picked up from 6:01 p.m. to 6:10 p.m. and one dollar for
every minute beyond 6:10 p.m. that their child remains at St. David’s.
12.
Suspension/Demission - We reserve the right to suspend or demit a
child from the program for non-payment of tuition by the child's family. (See
"Admission and Demission Policy", contained in the Parent Packet.) Parents
whose tuition is not current will not be allowed to enroll in the next session
(e.g., Summer, 2007).
13.
Vacation Credits - These are given to families using the Half-Day or
Full-Day Options only, and do not apply to children who are enrolled in just the
3-Hour Option. Eligible families may receive up to 3 weeks of vacation credit
for three full weeks of absence. The credit rates are listed on the 2007-2008
Tuition Rates. These credits can be requested by filling out the Vacation
Credit Form in your child’s classroom.
14.
Sick Leave - There is no credit given for days that your child misses
due to illness. Special financial arrangements may be made, however, when there
is a chronic, prolonged illness and/or family hardship. This may be discussed
with Jan Foss, the Early Childhood Program Co-Director.
15.
Second Child Discount - There is a 10% discount off the regular
tuition rate for a second and/or third child enrolled simultaneously. The
discount will be given at the lower rate(s) if your children are enrolled in
programs with different costs.
16.
Scholarships - A limited number of partial scholarships are available
through our Ayse Tanberk Memorial Scholarship Fund for families in need of
financial assistance. Scholarship consideration requires that families fill out
a Scholarship Application Form, which is reviewed by the Finance Department.
For a form, please contact the Finance Department.
17.
Questions - Questions or concerns about tuition rates, times / days
of openings, and requests for admission/tuition changes should be directed to
the Admissions Office at 952-939-0396. Questions about your bill should be
directed to our Finance Department at 952-939-0396.
