Family Place
Family Place is an
early childhood program for families facing multiple stresses and challenges in
successfully parenting their children. The goal of Family Place is
to provide support and resources, share child development information and
enrich family relationships, while also promoting
the social and emotional development of young children.
Family
Place offers:
- therapeutic
preschool

- therapeutic family support and
advocacy
-
play therapy
-
parent-child
interaction
-
family group
activities
- home visits
- referrals to community resources
- collaboration with music and occupational

Our Approach
We believe a high
degree of family involvement is essential for the successful
treatment of young children. Family Place utilizes a
team approach with families, mental health professionals and early
childhood educators working in partnership to strengthen parent-child
relationships. Throughout the period of time their children are
enrolled in the preschool program, parents collaborate with Family
Place staff to identify and address the developmental needs of their
children, while examining approaches to parenting that work for
their families.
