Adventure Program

The Adventure Program is an after-school and summer program for youth ages 11 to 24 with developmental disabilities. By providing a fun, structured group environment, the program helps children and young adults with special needs develop positive peer relationships, participate in group activities and become an active member of the community.

After-school programs run from the time school lets out until 6:00 p.m. each school day.

All-day programming  is available during school release days (ie. MEA, Winter Break, Spring Break, etc.), occasional Saturdays, and during the summer months. * Please note: after-school registration is not required for release day participation.*

In the Adventure Program, the youth participate in activities such as:

  • Arts and crafts
  • Community outings
  • Computer work
  • Games
  • Bowling
  • Cooking
  • Movies
  • Sports

Locations

After School: Brooklyn Park, NE Minneapolis and St. Louis Park
Hours: 2:30 p.m. - 6:00 p.m., Monday through Friday

Summer: St. Louis Park Junior High
Hours: 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday

Release Days: St. David's Center, Minnetonka
Hours: 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m., Dates: TBD

Payment/Funding

This program is funded through a client's waiver, PCA or private pay.
