Autism Day Treatment

What is Autism Day Treatment?
St. David’s Autism Day Treatment Program is designed for young children (18 months to 5 years old) who have a medical diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).

Children with this disorder typically have challenges in the areas of social interaction, communication, sensory processing, and self regulation. They usually have restricted and stereotypical interests and activities that interfere with their ability to engage with others and overall development.

Our day treatment team of professionals include a licensed psychologist/mental health professional, a mental health practitioner, a music therapist, a speech/language therapist, and an occupational therapist. We also utilize graduate level interns to provide daily program staffing, as well as in home family support services.

We seek to develop individualized treatment plans and interventions for each child that are multi-disciplinary, focused mainly on Mental Health Services and Therapy Services, and are based upon best practices of a variety of therapeutic approaches for children with Autism Spectrum Disorders. Our team is committed to working together across disciplines and with families and school district services so that skills are generalized across settings.
